HACT Class C Adaptable Living – Hackett

The HACT Class C Adaptable Living project in Hackett showcases a forward thinking approach to inclusive residential housing. Commissioned by ACT Housing, this development is designed to provide accessible, flexible living options that cater to a range of resident needs while enhancing community inclusivity.

The project comprises five single-storey townhouses, all built to Class C adaptability standards. These standards ensure the dwellings are easily adjustable to accommodate individuals with mobility challenges, providing long-term comfort and usability. The development features a combination of window upgrades, slab installation, and innovative site planning to address the steep slope of the site.

Multiple site cuts were carefully coordinated to create level areas for each dwelling while maintaining harmony with the natural topography. Designed with adaptability and accessibility at its core, the townhouses offer functional and flexible living spaces that can evolve with residents' changing needs.

The project also required precise construction coordination to manage deliveries and on-site operations safely and efficiently. Upon completion, the Hackett development contributes to a more diverse and inclusive housing landscape. By delivering high-quality, adaptable homes, the project supports individuals with varying requirements and promotes equitable access to comfortable living spaces within the community.
